Great Ride from Quechee to Ludlow to Peru to Chester

Alessandro Iuppa (Brownsville) has conjured up a great tour starting in Quechee, heading south through Reading to Ludlow and then Lunch in Peru.

Here’s the scoop from Al:

9:30 a.m. — Meet in Quechee near the Public diner on Route 4, address 5573 Woodstock Rd (Route 4). Look for the Porsche flag! There is a gas station nearby and also the diner will be open for coffee and a bathroom break.

9:45 a.m. — Driver’s meeting.

10:00 a.m. Depart.

11:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Intermediate Break in Ludlow

12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Lunch at JJ Hapgood General Store & Eatery. Neat place! www.jjhapgood.com in Peru. Owners are Juliette and Tim Britton and they own a 911 (but aren’t GMT members….yet!)

1:45 p.m. Depart for Chester. It just so happens that Chester is holding the first day of its famous fall festival on Sept. 15. So we are ending the tour here for those who want to stop and take a look. Music. 65 vendors they said. No doubt ice cream! www.Chesterfallfestival.org/wp/

Chester as most know is a charming town. By the time we arrive there should be parking available as we come into town.

Route Summary: Quechee – Brownsville – Reading – Tyson – Ludlow – Londonderry – Winhall – Peru -Londonderry – Chester

Al and Sandy Gilmour have tested the route — no dirt, a few asphalt bumps but mostly good road. Some good twists out of Reading.

Mileage – approximately 93 miles per Google Maps
