Once again, GMR members Lee and Brenda Roy have generously offered to host the GMR BBQ at their lakeside home on Goodwill Point in Colchester. The BBQ is scheduled on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from noon to 4.00pm. The site, on Goodsell Point in Colchester, is conveniently located approximately 4 miles off from the I-89 Colchester exit. The aerial view will show it as a peninsula within Malletts Bay.
As in prior years, the club will provide the main course – hamburgers and hot dogs. However, we are asking members to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert to share among the attendees as well as beverages for personal consumption. You might also consider bringing a portable chair for your added comfort.
This event is open to all GMR members, including PCA Juniors.
The Roy’s location is ideal for the BBQ and for lawn games such as bocce and corn hole. There is also access to a cove for those who might want to take a dip. Should the weather threaten the Roys have deck that can accommodate lots of people, with a terrific view west across Mallets Bay to the Adirondack Mountains.
