GMR VP Ben Curran will lead our next Driving Tour that will begin in East Montpelier at PCA Member, Tucker Purchase’s farm stand and culminate at Barr Hill Distillery in Montpelier. This driving tour will showcase a new style of tour as a “Poker Run”. As we head north and west through the beautiful Caledonia and Lamoille Counties, we will make 3 short stops along the route. At each stop, every participant will draw a playing card, slowly building a poker hand along the way. At the end, the participant with the best 5 card poker hand will be crowned the “winner”!
The tour will be approximately 70 miles in length and is expected to take about 2.5 hours of driving and stoppage time. We will assemble at the Fairmont Farm & Market, 141 Lyle Haven Rd, East Montpelier, VT at 10:00am, with the pre-tour participant meeting at 10:30am and a prompt departure at 11am. Please note that the driveway to the Fairmont Farm is a 500 foot well maintained gravel road.
The tour’s conclusion will be at the Barr Hill Distillery at 116 Gin Lane Montpelier, VT. After we determine the Poker Run winner and officially end the tour, participants can congregate inside the Distillery for food and beverages on their own accord.
